General principles for the creation of working groups at EVEL:
1. The principle of openness (transparency)
This means that the members and partners of EVEL know the objectives of working groups and all members may also apply for becoming a member of some working group.
2. The principle of voluntariness
This means that members participate in working groups voluntarily in the interests of the whole organisation, without hoping to receive any remuneration.
3. The principle of efficiency and the representation of water companies with different characteristics (the characteristics of water companies: large, small, dispersed, moderate attention to regional aspects)
This means that the representation of the experiences and needs of different water companies must be ensured.
4. The principle of the representation of the interests of water companies
This means that the majority of members participating in working groups with the right to vote are the representatives of water companies.
5. The principle of ensuring competence
This means that the members of working groups must be reasonably competent in matters under discussion. If necessary, experts and consultants will be engaged.
The working groups of EVEL mainly operate in the form of meetings and round table discussions.

The purpose of the water price and indicators working group is to request the implementation of the price regulation necessary to ensure a sustainable water service using the information obtained in the preparation of comparative analyses (benchmarking) of indicators, as well as to help water companies in making management decisions, to draw conclusions about the situation of water business and the functioning of water companies compared to other EVEL member companies.
